The Dancing with Divine painting is an amalgamation of tradition and culture, brought alive through folk art. It depicts a flying angel, showing the positivity in nature. The three-headed blue figure situated on the periphery is an allusion to the Gods Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh. The figure stands on one leg and has multiple hands, showcasing divine might and strength. Dragonflies dance in joy in the background, illustrating the beauty that is prevalent in nature.

About the Artist

Born in 1985 in Goa, Veenita Sadguru Chendvankar was deeply impacted by the traditional art forms she grew up with. She pursued her higher studies from the Goa College of Fine Arts in 2008. Her artwork mainly revolves around the synthesis of Nature and Fantasy in the broadest and purest sense of the term. Adopting an experimental art style, she incorporates every shade, hue and tint to splash her universe onto paper. Her dreams and memories help her to create ethereal landscapes, which have earned her various accolades such as the Odisha Lalit Kala Akademi National Award in 2012 and the Lalit Kala Akademi National Award 60th National Exhibition of Art New-Delhi.
